The international trends and services program facet of The Links Inc., Pine Bluff Chapter, is developing workshops for 10th- and 11th-graders. The workshops are in partnership with Watson Chapel High School and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
These sessions are part of a program titled, Links International Business and Foreign Affairs Empowerment (L.I.F.E.).
The program is designed to acquaint students with future careers in international business and foreign affairs. They will be introduced to the many options available to them in the world and exposed to information they will need to prepare themselves to make informed decisions for college in order to pursue their dreams without boundaries.
An advisory committee includes: from Watson Chapel, Kathy Brown-Ladd, Lillie W. Crumblin, Edna Allen, Karen Jeffers, and from UAPB, Pamela Moore.
Eula Liddell is the president of the Pine Bluff Chapter, and Eva McGee (co-chairwoman), Jacquelyn McCray (chairwoman), Carolyn Blakely and Brenda Martin are members of the committee. The first two workshops will be held in April and May.
