Liberty Baptist lends hurricane relief, accepts donations

Liberty Baptist Church, 8454 U.S. 79 S, is offering assistance with relief efforts following Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

“We made our first trip to a shelter last Friday with two trailer loads of much-needed supplies,” the pastor, Shawn Cuthbertson, said in a news release.

Drop-off locations are available for people want to donate relief items such as bottled water, diapers, baby formula, toothbrushes and toothpaste or other supplies.

Items may be taken to the Clothesline Consignment in White Hall, DeJa Vu Consignment in Chapel Village, Money Mart Pawn Shop on East Harding Avenue and Liberty Baptist Church.

“So far we have raised over $7,000,” Cuthbertson said “We also have drop off locations in Hope, Benton, Bryant, Hot Springs and Conway. At this time we plan on making trips to drop off supplies every 10 days. Many of the flood victims also lost their Bibles. We are currently having over 25,000 Bibles printed for distribution later in October. We still need supplies coming in and everyone can help.”
