The Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, in the training room at the Jefferson County Emergency Operations Center at the courthouse.
The agenda includes a Hazard Mitigation Plan update, review of the LEPC Emergency Operating Procedures and a presentation by Lucretia Taylor with the Arkansas Department of Health. Other items impacting emergency preparedness will also be discussed.
“Input from the members of the LEPC is particularly important for a successful LEPC,” Karen Blevins, director of the Jefferson County Office of Emergency Management/MECA 911, said in a news release.
