Lee Brice, one of Country music’s hottest stars, will headline the StarDaze Festival on Saturday, April 21.

StarDaze in Star City, the fastest growing festival in Arkansas, is pleased to announce its biggest and best lineup in its nine-year history.

Having been voted winner of several awards by the Arkansas Festival Association, StarDaze has grown by amazing amounts. Over 20,000 people enjoyed activities, food and entertainment last year and there is so much more planned for this year.

The festival will be held on the lawn of the Lincoln County Courthouse. All of the shows at StarDaze are free to the public. The excitement begins April 19, with the opening of the spectacular Miller Midway.

The grand opening on April 20, has a tremendous lineup of live entertainment, activities and the best selection and food and craft vendors open all day. Live entertainment, on the Pine Bluff National Bank main stage, will begin at 5 p.m. with expected 2012 breakout artist Lauren Briant, followed by another breakout 2012 artist JJ Lawhorn at 7 p.m. Country star and recording artist Matt Stillwell, who will perform at 9 p.m., is one of the hottest acts in the country. He will be performing all of his hits, as well as his newest release, “Ignition.”

On April 21, a full day of food, live entertainement and good times is planned. A 5K Run will be held first thing in the morning at Cane Creek State Park. The Motorcycle Point Run is back this year, as well as the Classic Car Show. New to the Classic Car Show this year is the addition of the lifted 4×4 truck division. Trophies will be given in several classes.

Entertainment will be going all day long Saturday on the Pine Bluff National Bank main stage. Big Shane Thornton will perform at 2 p.m. At 4 p.m., Star City’s own Jared Blake, who appeared on the television show, “The Voice,” will entertain his hometown audience. Much more music will follow with the incredibly talented Julie Roberts, a beautiful recording artist with a fantastic voice. A new upcoming star, Jody Hyde, will make his debut opening for a man who may possibly be the biggest headliner in StarDaze history — one of country music’s hottest stars with a Top 10 song, “A Woman Like You” — Lee Brice. His performance at StarDaze comes just four days before the debut of his new album. Brice has the longest charting record in country music history with his 2010 Song of the Year, “Love Like Crazy.”
