WOODLAWN — The Woodlawn girls basketball team rallied from a 33-17 deficit to start the fourth quarter and beat Sparkman, 45-44. The deciding point was scored at the free throw line by Hannah Gavin with 8 seconds left.
Becca Britt led the fourth-quarter charge with 16 of her 21 points in the final frame.

WOODLAWN — The Woodlawn boys team struggled in its half court offense and mustered just 19 points in the loss. The Bears were led by Blake Brown’s nine points.

At Jack Robey Junior High, the Colts (5-1) used balance scoring to defeat the Cougar Cats on Thursday.
Jalen Pulliam led the Colts with seven points, while David Beasley and John Taylor each added six. The Colts’ next game is at 7 p.m. game Monday against Stuttgart.
