The Kiwanis Club of Pine Bluff will host the Mother’s Day “Baby Shower” drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at the four Super 1 Foods stores (formerly Brookshire’s.)
Proceeds will support the Hope Women’s Resource Center. Club members, as well as staff and volunteers of the center, will collect baby items for families in critical need.
“Hope Women’s Resource Center needs help to provide for those parents seeking assistance during hardships. The center provides confidential care for those dealing with unplanned pregnancies,” a spokesman said in a news release.
Items needed include disposable diapers, baby bottles, rattlers, baby lotion, baby shampoo/soap, baby wipes, formula, clothing and toys. Cash donations will also be accepted.
The club is asking residents to purchase items and place them in the basket at the front of a Super 1 Foods on Saturday.
