Former Pine Bluff Mayor Dutch King held on for the win Tuesday in a tight runoff race against Assistant Police Chief Ivan Whitfield for the Democratic nomination in the race for Jefferson County judge.
King will face Republican candidate Ted Harden in the November General Election.
Complete by unofficial vote totals, with 100 percent of precincts reporting, were:
• Ivan Deon Whitfield — 49.04 percent — 3,937 votes
• Dutch King — 50.96 percent — 4,091
The total number of ballots cast in the runoff were 8,028.
