King Day virtual events begin today

The Arkansas Martin Luther King Jr. Commission announces that its 2021 MLK Day of Service, King Holiday Day of Impact will be hosted virtually premiering today on King’s birthday beginning at 11:59 a.m. on various online platforms. The King Holiday Day of Impact will be presented virtually as a result of the pandemic. The event will include commemorative remarks, historical reflections, arts and presentations. Confirmed appearances include Gov. Asa Hutchinson, Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin, Bernice A. King (daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Martin Luther King Jr.), and Sen. Joyce Elliott. There will also be several celebrity appearances.

The commission is also hosting the 2021 King Holiday Service Projects and King Holiday Education Virtual Projects. Details: www.ARKingDream.org.
