Reginald Johnson is seeking reelection as Justice of the Peace for District 3 on the Jefferson County Quorum Court in the upcoming Democratic primary.
“I am dedicated to moving our county forward and making Jefferson County a better place to live,” Johnson said in a news release. “We are facing significant challenges within our county government that requires immediate attention, accountability, and forward-thinking leadership.”
Johnson, 46, was first elected to represent District 3 in 2020. During his tenure, he has served on the Budget and Finance, Human Resources and Judicial committees.
Previously, Johnson worked as the director of technology for the Dollarway School District. Following its merger with the Pine Bluff School District, he continued his service in the district’s technology department, where he helps monitor and maintain computer systems and networks across the district.
“When I was first elected to represent District 3, I believed that serving as justice of the peace would allow me to better serve our citizens,” Johnson said. “That belief remains just as strong today. I’m extremely proud of what our county has accomplished, despite the many challenges we’ve faced but there is still much more work to be done.”

He is also a member of the Pine Bluff Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. and the William Townsend Elks Lodge, and is a former commissioner of the Parks and Recreation Department. He is also a member of Barraque Street Missionary Baptist Church.

“With a background in technology and leadership, Johnson has worked to bring accountability, innovation, and progress to local government. As Justice of the Peace for District 3, he remains committed to improving the quality of life for all residents through responsible governance, community collaboration, and sustainable growth.”
