The city of Pine Bluff will present its annual Juneteenth Celebration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 15 at the Pine Bluff Convention Center arena.
The event promises a day filled with entertainment, education, and community engagement. Attendees can look forward to a diverse range of activities, including free food, activities for children and teens, and live musical and dance performances.
Admission is free and all members of the community are encouraged to attend, according to a news release from Mayor Shirley Washington’s office.
“Juneteenth, a commemoration of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States, holds immense cultural significance and historical importance,” according to the release. “The city of Pine Bluff is proud to host a vibrant celebration to honor this pivotal moment in American history.”
For interested vendors, the registration deadline is June 7. The registration fee is $50 for vendors and $100 for food trucks.

The city of Pine Bluff’s Juneteenth presentation June 15 is among two local observances held that weekend.
The inaugural Juneteenth in the Bluff: Arts & Culture Festival will be held from 3-10 p.m. June 14 in the Delta Rhythm and Bayous Cultural District at Third Avenue and Main Street. The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and the Pine Bluff Advertising and Promotion Commission will sponsor this event.
