The victim of a shooting in the 2500 block of West 34th Avenue and Old Warren Road in Pine Bluff July 5 was discharged from Jefferson Regional Medical Center July 11, according to hospital officials.
Spencer Walker, 23, of Pine Bluff, was taken to JRMC by ambulance for treatment of life-threatening wounds received in the incident that occurred at 2:18 p.m. July 5. Walker was conscious but unable to respond to questions from a police officer on scene immediately after the shooting.
The suspect in the shooting, Leroy White, III, 26, of Pine Bluff, surrendered to police July 6 and was taken to the county detention center, where he is being held on a $250,000 bond. He has been formally charged with criminal attempt capital murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
White was also wanted by the Arkansas Department of Correction on an absconder warrant for which there is no bond.
