July 4th closings announced

Several agencies have announced closures in observance of Independence Day, July 4.

County, city, local agencies

• Jefferson County Courthouse and related offices and Pine Bluff City Hall and related offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday, July 3-4.

• The Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

• White Hall City Hall will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

• Altheimer City Hall will be closed Tuesday.

• The Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas is closed Monday as usual and will also be closed Tuesday.

• Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas’ main office and the Strachota Senior Center will be closed Tuesday. Southeast Arkansas Transportation (SEAT) will run for cancer and dialysis patients only.

• Southeast Arkansas College will be closed Tuesday.

• The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will be closed Tuesday.

• Waste Management will be closed Tuesday. Garbage pick ups will run one day late.

• Liberty Utilities water company is closed Tuesday.

• The Commercial’s business offices will be closed Tuesday.

Federal, state offices

• Federal offices, U.S. Postal Service, financial institutions and state offices will be closed Tuesday.
