JRMC slates blood drive

Donors are asked to join Jefferson Regional Medical Center for a blood drive with Arkansas Blood Institute from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18.

Donors will receive a free Blood Donor Challenge T-shirt and free health screenings. Arkansas Blood Institute, a non-profit blood center, serves more than two dozen medical facilities in the state, according to a news release.

January is National Blood Donor Month and the institute encourages healthy adults, age 16 and older, to accept the “Blood Donor Challenge” to save more lives in the New Year.

Appointments to give blood are not required but can be made at arkbi.org or by calling 877-340-8777.
