Jefferson Regional Medical Center Volunteer Program is in need of volunteers in the following areas:
JRMC Cath Lab (host or hostess), Monday through Friday mornings; patient mail delivery; JRMC gift shop; and the I-530 Medical Mall (host or hostess) any time during the week.
Volunteers must be 18 years old or older and commit to volunteering for at least six months. They must interview and go through a background check as well as participate in a one-day orientation. All positions involve working with people, a spokesman said in a news release.
Volunteers can also join the JRMC Auxiliary for $5 a year, however auxiliary membership isn’t required. The auxiliary conducts several fundraisers throughout the year and uses the money to support JRMC programs.
“The JRMC Volunteer Program is a wonderful opportunity to make an impact on one’s community and gain valuable experience working in a service-oriented role,” Volunteer Coordinator Debbie Tole said in a news release.
In 2016, JRMC volunteers gave 10,196.25 hours to serve the hospital. Details: Debbie Tole, 541-7269.
