Jefferson Regional Medical Center will host a luncheon and health fair Thursday, April 16.
At noon, the hospital and the JRMC Auxiliary will present the Love Your Heart Luncheon at the Jefferson Professional Center II. Lunch will be followed by a panel discussion with JRMC cardiologists about cardiac disease and treatment.
The cost is $10 per person, payable at the door. To reserve a space, call 541-7635 and leave a name and telephone number.
The JRMC Spring Health Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 16 in the main lobby of the hospital. It will be free and open to the public. Screenings to be conducted will include blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, weight, body fat and bone density.
Sponsored by the Arkansas Minority Health Commission, the health fair will be an opportunity to increase awareness of diseases that disproportionally impact minorities as well as other citizens of Southeast Arkansas. No registration is necessary for the health fair.
