Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff recently joined the Greater Delta Alliance for Health.
The GDAH is a coalition of Southeast Arkansas hospitals that collaborate to improve access to care and improve delivery of health care services in the Arkansas Delta, according to a press release. Goals include improving health care provider educational opportunities, improving health information technology, promoting healthy lifestyles, providing consumer assistance programs and reducing service and operational costs for hospital members through collaborative programs and purchasing.
“We are very excited to collaborate with other Southeast Arkansas hospitals to improve health care in our area,” said Walter Johnson, JRMC president and CEO, in the release.
The GDAH is a nonprofit, horizontal hospital organization, made up of 10 Southeast Arkansas hospitals, including Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett, Baptist Health-Stuttgart, Bradley County Medical Center in Warren, Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village, Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce, Delta Memorial Hospital in Dumas, DeWitt Hospital and Nursing Home, Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello and McGehee Hospital.
JRMC serves 280,000 residents in 11 counties of Southeast Arkansas.
