JRMC Community Health grants are now available

The Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation (PBACF), an affiliate office of the Arkansas Community Foundation (ARCF), announces the Jefferson Regional Medical Center Community Health Endowment grant cycle, which began Tuesday.

The deadline for applications is Aug. 15.

Proposals will be accepted from eligible organizations to provide services aimed at educating, assessing and screening members of their organization or the larger community regarding health issues. Health fairs, risk assessments, screenings, outreach, and educational programs in schools, churches and businesses are just a few of the opportunities that will be eligible for funding through this grant program.

Applicant organizations are those that serve residents of Jefferson County and surrounding counties, including Arkansas, Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Dallas, Desha, Drew, Grant, and Lincoln. Grants will not be awarded directly to individuals but rather to groups that will, in turn, provide these programs for individuals. An applicant organization need not be tax exempt or a public charity to be eligible for Community Health Endowment grants. As a condition of the grant, the recipient agrees to supply the PBACF a report on results and outcomes, and further agrees to permit PBACF and/or its affiliated organizations to use the grantee’s information for publicity purposes.

Applications may be downloaded directly from the PBACF Website, www.arcf.org/pinebluff . Simply download the application, fill it out in ink and mail it as instructed.

This grant program is made possible through a gift from JRMC in accordance with its goal to bring quality healthcare to the people of Southeast Arkansas.
