Jefferson Regional Medical Center is offering a free educational class for people with diabetes.
DEEP (Diabetes Empowerment Education Program) will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, and will meet every Tuesday for six weeks.
Individuals with diabetes or pre-diabetes will learn how the disease affects the body, how to monitor and understand blood sugar numbers, and how to shop and cook in a healthier manner.
