Jefferson County’s All-Hazards Full-Scale emergency exercise will be held Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the Jefferson County Office of Emergency Management with grant funding provided by the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management.
The exercise will focus primarily on preparing local emergency responders to effectively handle all-hazards incidents.
The exercise is an interagency drill focused on the initial field level response to an all-hazards incident.
As part of the exercise, response to the incident is examined, as well as interaction with multiple response agencies and assets that will respond. Evaluators offer comments which are compiled in an After-Action Report with recommendations for future training and response procedures.
Participants will include OEM, Arkansas State Police, Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Department/HazMat, Arkansas Department of Emergency Management, Pine Bluff Police Department, White Hall Police Department, American Red Cross, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Jefferson Regional Medical Center, MECA, 911, county volunteer fire departments and Jefferson County Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services (RACES)
