A Jefferson County man was killed early Monday when he was struck by a train in southern Jefferson County.
Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Eric Belcher identified the victim as Terence Victor Freeman, 45, who was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:37 a.m.
Belcher said the cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma. The body was sent to the State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy.
The accident was reported at 1:56 a.m. on tracks adjacent to U.S. 65 south, south of the Noble Lake area.
No other details were immediately available on the accident, which was investigated by Union Pacific Police.
