Jefferson County Judge Dutch King has lifted the county ban on outdoor burning. Rainfall received recently has diminished the fire potential, however, King asked that residents be extremely cautious when burning.
Pine Bluff residents are required to get burn permits before burning. To request a burning permit, call the Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Department at 730-2048.
When burning, these rules should be followed: Attend the fire at all times, don’t burn when the winds are high and keep a water source close to control the fire.
The ban on burning may be reinstated if necessary.
