Jefferson County DHS employee positive for COVID 19; office closes until May 11

The Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) is closing its Jefferson County office until Monday, May 11, following a positive COVID test for an office employee and so that the facility can be deep cleaned, according to a news release.

For DHS clients who need to see staff in person, two mobile offices will be set up in the parking lot of the Jefferson County office Friday, May 8. Social distancing will be enforced for those showing up in person, according to the release.

Clients who need to apply for assistance are encouraged to apply online at www.Access.Arkansas.gov or apply by phone at 1-855-372-1084. If they need to return requested paperwork, they can do so by emailing 351Jefferson@arkansas.gov.
