The Ivy Center for Education Inc. will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Faith Presbyterian Church. The speaker for 11th- and 12th-grade students will be Jessie Walker, chairman of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and an Arkansas Research Alliance Fellow.
Walker will discuss the Jefferson County STEM Workforce Initiative and a partnership with the Ivy Center to support industry-based workforce development programs.
The speaker for students seventh through 10th grades will be Teresa Ramey Moka, assistant principal at Jack Robey Junior High School and a former English teacher.
