The Ivy Center for Education has scheduled several meetings:
Tuesday, Jan. 31 — The Ivy Center for Education will meet from 6-7 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church, 913 University Drive. Ryan Watley, assistant professor of chemistry at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, will present: “Making Chemistry Fun.” Students in 7-12 grades are encouraged to attend.
Tuesday, Feb. 7 — The Ivy Center will meet at Faith Presbyterian Church from 6-7 p.m. Club Scrub will meet in the sanctuary with the representative from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. The remainder of students will meet in the fellowship Hall with Ivy officials.
Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 8-9 — The Ivy Center will host ACT Prep Workshops in the Watson Chapel High School cafeteria. Snacks will be provided from 4-4:30 p.m. The U of A Office of Diversity Outreach officials will conduct workshops. Students 7-12 grades may attend. Participants should bring pencil and paper. On Wednesday, the UAPB LIONS (Learning Institute and Opportunities for New Students) Program presentation will be made from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, a UAPB recruitment presentation will be made from 5-6:30 p.m.
