The Ivy Center for Education ACT Prep and College Readiness Workshops will be held Wednesday, April 10, at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave. The event is free to students in 7-12th grades, according to a news release.
Students will listen to college readiness information from 4-4:30 p.m. provided by the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff LIONS (Learning Institute and Opportunities for New Students) Program and the UAPB Office of Recruitment.
ACT Prep Workshops will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and the facilitators are from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville Office of Diversity Affairs Outreach.
The next ACT test will be administered nationwide Saturday, April 13.
“We take pride in helping outstanding scholars, 7-12th grades, prepare their minds for college,” Mattie Collins, Ivy Center president, said.
Students should bring pencil and paper to the workshops and parents are always encouraged to attend.
