The Ivy Center for Education announced its activities for February.
Tuesday, Feb. 4 — 4-6:30 p.m., ACT Prep/College Readiness Workshops will be held at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Service Center, 211 W. Third Ave. Interested students should email Mattie Collins at mattie1908@gmail.com by Friday, Jan. 31.
Tuesday, Feb. 11 — 6-7 p.m., the Ivy Center will host Ryan Watley, PhD, chief executive officer of Go Forward Pine Bluff, at Faith Presbyterian Church, 913 University Drive.
Saturday, Feb. 15 — The re-scheduled field studies trip will be held. Students will meet at 7 a.m. on the parking lot beside the AKA Sorority House, #5 Watson Blvd.
Tuesday, Feb. 18 — 6-7 p.m., Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Black History will be presented by local historian Lori Walker at Faith Presbyterian Church.
Tuesday, Feb. 25 — 6-7 p.m., the Black History Quiz Bowl Competition will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church. Prizes will be awarded to winners. Family tree assignments are also due.
