Editor, The Commercial:
Now or Never! “It’s time for Pine Bluff to Go Forward.”
I planned to write this letter after the first public presentation of the Go Forward Pine Bluff initiative. It was refreshing and reassuring to hear of the plan that has been developed to improve our city. The publicity and information distributed is well done. The GFPB may not be perfect, but it is a road map for a Better Pine Bluff. It is inclusive of our plight.
How do you feel when you drive pass downtown? We have a great plan before us and I pray that our City Council and citizens will get on board and support GFPB. When we have a major issue with our health, we seek the best doctor we can find. Go Forward Pine Bluff has employed people who have expertise to help us with ideas to move forward. This initiative is not a black and white issue. It is all about the future and success of a city called Pine Bluff.
I applaud Tommy May for his vision, tenacity, faith in God and faith in the citizens of Pine Bluff. He could live wherever he chooses. Thanks for choosing to stay in Pine Bluff with your immediate family, Simmons Inc. and many friends of Pine Bluff. Thanks also to Mary Pringos, Carla Martin and all the GFPB committee members for all the hard work and collaboration to get us to this point.

Pine Bluff, it’s time for us to “Go Forward Pine Bluff” Now or Never. Thanks and God Bless.
