Members of the Jefferson County Manufacturing Council attended a holiday dinner at Colonial Steakhouse to celebrate the end of another successful year. The purpose of this event was to allow council members and their spouses to network to meet other like-minded individuals from the area, according to the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce newsletter.
The Economic Development Alliance for Jefferson County created JCMC in May of 2007. The primary purpose of the group is to provide a forum to discuss common problems and issues among the manufacturing organizations and industries within Jefferson County.
JCMC meets once a month. Usually, a speaker is provided to address various issues and topics such as workforce development, skills development, education/technical skills and qualifications, legislative initiatives and issues, security, grant opportunities, and health and safety.
