The University of Central Arkansas at Conway will host the 2019 Impacting Tomorrow Summit at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8.
Nearly 600 high school students who are interested in becoming teachers will attend the event in the Reynolds Performance Hall at UCA, according to a press release from the Arkansas Department of Education.
After the general session, students will attend breakout sessions in Mashburn Hall, the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center and the student center.
Sessions will include networking opportunities with colleges and universities, education service cooperatives and ADE representatives. Competitions involving public speaking, children’s literature, and lesson planning also will be held.
