Interested Citizens for Voter Registration Inc. will assist the Ozark Mission Project Inc. in recruiting Pine Bluff residents who need home repairs. Services will be free and the agencies are looking for 10 to 15 projects to do June 5-11.
“Repairs will be performed free of charge by OMP, a non-profit corporation transforming lives through worship, fellowship, and hands-on mission,” the Rev. Jesse C. Turner, ICVR executive director, said in a news release.
The projects include building wooden porches, shelving, wooden and hard-concrete steps, small sheds, enclosed porches, wheelchair ramps, handrails and steps. They can also do maintenance such as gardening and trimming, interior and exterior painting, yard cleanup, as well as repairs to porches, floor boards, outbuildings and window screens.
Applications are available 10 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday, at the ICVR office at Suite 109 of the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave.
Applications should be completed and returned to ICVR before May 31 to allow the OMP staff to visit each client June 1-5 to determine which projects can be accomplished. Details: 413-6345.
