Editor, The Commercial:
The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Homecoming is upon us. I don’t see how this city is a welcome to any of its homecomers. This city looks a mess. Downtown looks like a atom bomb have hit and left destructive. You can’t even hold a parade down their.
The mayor tried to bring someone in to clean up the falling bricks, but as usual those city council voted it down when it was something to improve this city.
Under some of those long-time city councilmen they watch this city deteriorate. Olive Street look better than Main Street. Having the parade their if it can will benefit the business in the citizen or ask White Hall mayor can it be held their. Their city look like a city.
Many of my familys who went to UAPB will not come home because they say the city’s a embarrasment to itself in to bring friends with them with no places to go or show the city off. The love their school, but they stated the loss of many community should not be excepted.

The citizen need to vote these member out if they don’t fight for this city. It doesn’t matter if the mayor is black or white. This city is broken and it can’t be rebuild on racism. This city will never come back if their is no love between both race.
I will leave the city council in the citizen with Proverb c11-v-10-11.
