No one was injured in a house fire Wednesday evening on Vaugine Street.
Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services firefighters were called to 3601 W. Vaugine St. at about 6 p.m., Fire Chief Shauwn Howell said.
The homeowner was at the residence when a kitchen fire broke out. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and the damaged was limited to the kitchen area, but Howell said that the power will have to be turned off while repairs are made, so the Red Cross was called out to assist the family.
