There were 286 more homes sold in Arkansas in July than there were in July 2014 and home sales in Jefferson County also showed an increase, according to the Arkansas Realtors Association.
A statewide total of 3,161 homes sold in July, compared to 2,875 in July 2014.
Also according to the monthly report, average sale prices increased statewide in July when compared to July 2014, but dropped in Jefferson County during the same period.
There were 40 homes sold in Jefferson County in July, two more than in July 2014. For the first seven months of the year, 214 homes have been sold, compared to 205 for the same period in 2014.
The average price of a home sold in Jefferson County in July was $112,628, while the average selling price in July 2014 was $115,278. The average selling price for homes through the first seven months of 2015 was $97,719, compared to $91,922 for the first seven months of 2014.

Statewide, Benton County saw the most homes sold in the state in July with 542 sales, compared to 447 in July 2014. Benton County also reported the highest average sale price at $213,249 in July, compared to $205,254 in July 2014.
Pulaski, Washington, Saline and Faulkner counties rounded out the top five in most homes sold during the month, while Garland, Pulaski, Washington and Saline counties joined Benton County for the highest average sale prices.
The only other county in Southeast Arkansas to report home sales was Grant County, where 13 homes were sold in July, two more than in July 2014. The average sale price for a home in Grant County was $153,603, compared to $102,954 in July 2014.
