Highway work to require lane closures in Arkansas County

Improvements on Highway 343 will require a lane closure next week in Arkansas County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department officials.

The work will require one lane of traffic to be closed on Highway 343 just south of the Highway 11 junction, between the towns of DeWitt and Reydell. The work will begin Tuesday at 10 a.m. It will be complete by Thursday at 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Crews will remove and replace drainage culverts and then repair the affected roadway, shoulders and slopes.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel related information can be found at ArkansasHighways.com. You can also follow us on Twitter @AHTD.
