The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid to replace the bridge where U.S. 270 crosses Big Creek in Grant County.
Mehaffy Construction Co. Inc. of North Little Rock received the contract at $1.10 million. Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2016.
