Highway department plans lane closures at Sheridan

Improvements on U.S. 167B and U.S. 270 will require temporary overnight lane closures at Sheridan, according to the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT.)

ARDOT planned to begin the work July 31. Weather permitting, crews will put closures into place daily from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. on U.S. 167B from Centria to U.S. 270 and on U.S. 270 from Arkansas 46 South to Arkansas 46 North.

The closures will allow crews to rehabilitate the pavement and will remain in place until project completion, which is expected to be three weeks.

Traffic will be controlled with signage and flaggers. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov or on Twitter @myARDOT.
