The Arkansas State Highway Commission approved a bid for improvements in Desha County, according to the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT.)
The purpose is to construct two new boat ramps and a parking lot on McCallie Access on the Mississippi River, according to a news release.
R.L. Persons Construction Inc. of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, received the contract at $1,230,500.00.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid 2019.
