Highway 278 work will require lane closures in Drew County Monday, July 14, through Wednesday, July 16, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Crews will be replacing drainpipes beneath Highway 278, about 4 miles south of the Highway 278/Highway 277 intersection between Monticello and McGehee. Traffic will be reduced to one lane within the work zone, the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department said.
Traffic will be controlled using barrels, warning signs, and flaggers. Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ArkansasHighways.com or on Twitter @AHTD.
