Highland Baptist Church, 1320 S. Peach St., will give away food and hold a registration for Toys for Tots on Tuesday, Nov. 13. The Helping Hands Food Ministry will hand out food from 6-7:30 p.m. Participants must have a picture ID and utility bill to pick up food. There are no exceptions to this rule, according to a news release.
Also from 6-7:30 p.m. Nov. 13, Highland will hold a registration for Toys for Tots, a program of the Marine Corps Reserve. People interested in signing up for toys must register.
The following documents will be required (with no exceptions): Valid government issued photo ID, birth certificate/proof of birth for children for 6 months to 14 years old (only parents listed on the birth certificate will be allowed to register; others must show documented proof of legal guardianship); and proof of address within the last 30 days of registration (utility bill, mortgage statement, current lease, city, state or federal government documentation showing parent or legal guardian name and current address.)
