Southeast Arkansas College’s 2016 Fall Commencement will be held at the Pine Bluff Convention Center arena at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9. Tom Reilley, Chairman of Highland Pellets, will be the guest speaker for the ceremony.
Riley is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he studied international relations and economics. He has more than 20 years of experience as an investor and entrepreneur. He started his career with Bear, Stearns and served in London, England, as a member of the International Executive Committee and senior managing director.
He left in 2007 to found Kalan Capital, a private equity fund that made investments around the world in asset heavy industries. He exited his stake in 2012 and returned to the U.S. where he is now Chairman of Highland Pellets. He is a passionate proponent of education, community development, and building businesses.
Highland Pellets opened its Pine Bluff plant in November.
