Healing Place Ministries, a program co-owned by the Revs. David and Edna Morgan, is among non-profit agencies seeking donations at ArkansasGives.org, a 12-hour online giving event Thursday, April 6.
Arkansas Community Foundation will host the event from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 6. During this time, Arkansans may donate to various nonprofits, according to a press release.
“We hope you will support us by finding our agency (at ArkansasGives.org) and giving to help us reach our goal of $5,000,” the Morgans said in a release.
Healing Place Ministries, 8309 Old Warren Road, aims to improve life for people in Pine Bluff and surrounding areas. The program also works with youth on character building, public speaking, drug prevention, exercise, nutrition, self-esteem and team work, the Morgans said.
“We provide faith-based pre-marriage and marriage counseling for couples, individual pastoral counseling, and crisis counseling for victim survivors. We provide several workshops, including vicarious trauma, grief and loss, cooking, and team building. We have several community partners within the city of Pine Bluff,” according to the release.
Located on 15 acres, four miles outside of the city, the site has space for meetings, outdoor activities and other events.
