A handgun was discovered in the parking lot of White Hall High School on Tuesday, leading to the removal of a student from campus.
Parents learned about the development through the high school’s messaging system. The message reported the “student involved” was removed, but also that the weapon was never inside the building and there were no known threats to students or staff.
“A full investigation is underway, and all appropriate actions are being taken,” the district reported. “The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority, and we will continue to take every measure to ensure a secure learning environment.”
