The rededication of the terminal at the Pine Bluff Municipal Airport-Grider Field is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday.
Residents will be able to view the multi-phase modernization of the nostalgic 1960 air passenger terminal. Named the Felix G. Smart III terminal building, it honors Smart for being an aviator who championed commercial aviation for Pine Bluff.
The welcome will be presented by Ken Johnson, chairman of the Pine Bluff Aviation Commission. History of the terminal building and airport will be given by Doug Hale, airport manager. Remarks will be made by County Judge Mike Holcomb, Mayor Carl A. Redus Jr. and John Knight, director of the Arkansas Department of Aeronautics.
