The Grand Prairie Quilt Society met Nov. 12 at the First Christian Church in Stuttgart for their Sit n’ Sew with seven members present.
The leader opened the meeting with the Thought for the Day, “Whenever I see fabric, I hear two voices in my head. One of them says, ‘Buy the fabric’ and the other one says, ‘You heard her — buy the fabric.’
The October minutes and treasurer’s report were given. November Birthday greetings were extended to a member and she was serenaded with a rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday,” according to a news release.
New Business:
Plans were finalized for the December/Christmas Party and Potluck for Dec. 10. Members will play the Right/Left game. Everyone was reminded to bring five small things to participate in the game as well as a favorite dish to share.

A member had a Christmas ornament puzzle question, as she is trying to make a Mallard Duck ornament and needed some suggestions from the group.
Another participant showed her latest Razorback quilt top.
The leader displayed her Door/Window cover in progress.
A member had a pink and blue afghan.
After the business session, everyone had a pizza lunch and visited with each other. During the afternoon, everyone worked on their projects.
A woman worked on her tiny paintings; one made some of her Christmas coasters using the transfer method; a sewer cut out a pink Razorback block pattern; and another finished attaching an eyelet ruffle to her Door Cover and then worked on her strip-quilt blocks.
The next meeting will be Dec. 10 at the church.
“Come join us for our Christmas party/potluck,” a spokesman said.
