Grand opening of casino all set

The Quapaw Nation will host a grand opening and ribbon-cutting at the Saracen Casino Resort at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Participants will include Quapaw Nation Chairman Joseph Tali Byrd, Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington, Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson, Quapaw Nation, Saracen Development team members, friends and guests, and representatives of Nabholz Construction and Suffolk Construction, according to a news release.

The casino’s 80,000-square-foot gaming floor boasts 2,000 slot machines, 35 table games, Sportsbook, a poker room and multiple food and beverage options, according to the release.
