The Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation began accepting applications for Giving Tree Grants on July 10. Nonprofits in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County can go to www.arcf.org to download an application for Giving Tree Grants through the local foundation. Applications must be submitted online by Aug. 15.
PBACF is an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation. Any IRS 501(c)(3) public charity, public school, government agency or hospital in Jefferson County is eligible to apply. Other applicants may be considered if the project has a clear charitable purpose for the public benefit.
Grants are not made to individuals. Applications will be reviewed by a grantmaking committee from the PBACF.
“Our Giving Tree grants will generally range from $500 to $4,000,”said Lawrence Fikes, executive director. “Last year, our application process resulted in a total of $48,501 grants awarded. Our board members want to fund worthy service programs designed to enhance the quality of life in our community.”
