Girl Scouts invites girls, adult volunteers to join movement

Fall is the time of year when school starts back, football gets underway, and children are reunited with their friends after a summer of fun and family. It’s also the time of year when girls all over the area get busy changing the world through Girl Scouting.

As the 100th fall season of scouting begins, Girl Scouts-Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas invites everyone to join in building girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.

Girl Scouting is open to girls in grades kindergarten through 12th grade, and qualified adult volunteers of any age. Through scouting, girls learn important life skills, create lasting memories, and forge a strong sisterhood with their peers. Imagine a new generation of leaders who lead in a new way: who lead out of principle rather than pride; who step across barriers of class and race every day; who seek out the work that needs doing in the world; and who bring boundless energy to every challenge. They are today’s Girl Scouts. Girl Scouting helps every girl discover who she can be and what she can do, wherever she chooses to put her energies.

Whether you are new to Girl Scouting or a seasoned Scout, you are welcome join in this movement that has been empowering girls for 100 years.

To register girls online go to www.girlscoutsdiamonds.org, or by calling our office at 800-632-6894.
