Three more University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football players have announced their intentions to transfer when the portal opens Jan. 2.
Defensive backs Kristian Gammage and Tyler Shaw intend to depart UAPB, as does wide receiver Jean Louis Nunez.
Gammage came to UAPB ahead of the 2024 season from the University of Arkansas at Monticello alongside JaVonnie Gibson. Both played wide receiver last year for the Golden Lions before Gibson transferred to Oklahoma following the season.
The coaching staff decided to move Gammage from receiver to nickelback during the spring, and he played that position alongside Tavon Hardwick this fall. Gammage finished the season with 24 tackles, including five for loss with one sack and one interception.
Gammage leaves UAPB with one year of eligibility remaining.
Shaw signed with UAPB ahead of the 2022 season as a wide receiver. He caught two passes for 17 yards as a true freshman but hasn’t played since. Nunez signed in 2024 but rarely played, making one tackle this year.
Their impending departures bring the total to six as of Tuesday afternoon.
