Free sessions set to explain Medicaid, ARKids

New Medicaid and ARKids First beneficiaries in Arkansas will receive help on how to use their benefits at free monthly training sessions in every county.

The Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, through a contract with Arkansas Medicaid, will provide the one-hour training sessions.

A session in Jefferson County is scheduled from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Classroom J or R.

Topics will include choosing a primary care physician, co-pays, non-emergency transportation and when to go to the emergency room. Those who attend the training will be registered for a chance to win a $25 gift card.
