Registration is underway for a free six-week class in diabetes education at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
DEEP, which stands for Diabetes Empowerment Education Program, will be held for six weeks on Thursdays from 10–11:30 a.m. starting April 6.
Individuals with diabetes or pre-diabetes will learn how the disease affects the body, how to monitor and understand blood sugar numbers, and how to shop and cook in a healthier manner.
